Orange Juice and What You Need to know about what you are really drinking..

Years ago I used to think that one needed to drink orange juice every morning for breakfast. That it was the healthy thing to do. That you were ingesting pure juice of an orange. Well I have found out that this is totally wrong today.

I found out that fresh -squeezed orange juice spoils quickly. To avoid expensive spoilage, manufactors use a heating process to remove oxygen quickly, so the juice won't oxidize. The juice can then be stored in tanks for up to a year. Imagine that, really blows that idea of "fresh squeezed juice" doesn't it.

When one changes a product they may get the results they want but other results happen as well so they have to take more measures. The heating process strips the juice of its flavor and the juice ends up tasting like sugar water. No orange flavor at all. So now we have to add flavor and to do that the manufactures add "flavor packs" developed by Perfume Companies! Some of the chemicals in these "flavor packs" are Ethyl butyrate.

So by now you are checking the ingredients list on your "Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice and you don't see Ethyl Butyrate listed. Why?? Because they are originally derived from the discarded orange peels. This makes them "orange by-products" and according to the federal law they don't have to be listed. This is true even though the by-products have been altered and no longer resemble anything found in nature.

I am sure if we did some research we would find that many of our juice are the same. That really all we are drinking is flavored sugar water..

I suggest you do as I do.  When I want some orange juice I squeeze my own or just eat a juicey orange. Great flavor, fiber and great nutrients..  Enjoy!

Chinese Farms are Filthy

Chinese farms are filthy
By Dr. Mark Stengler
I'm blessed in a lot of ways by living here in Southern California, and not just because of the endless good weather.

Just beyond the desert that surrounds the San Diego area, you'll find some of the nation's most fertile farmland -- including thousands upon thousands of acres dedicated to healthy organic fruits and vegetables.

That means the markets here are always full of fresh and local organic produce.

But many supermarkets, even here, don't stock local foods. No, much of it's imported from places like China. It's cheaper, even with the cost of shipping. But it's also grown in dubious conditions.

Now, the Chinese government admits that a full fifth of the nation's farmland is contaminated with toxic metals such as cadmium, nickel and arsenic.

If you want to trust the Chinese government's official numbers, you can. But personally, I'd bet the farm that the real number is much higher.

The contamination is of course causing problems for people who live near the farms, including cancer clusters in the surrounding communities.

But I'm more concerned about what this means for you -- because when you ingest foods contaminated with trace amounts of metals, you won't get sick immediately after eating them.

Instead, these metals slowly accumulate in your body, building up over time and eventually causing or contributing to serious health conditions, including problems with your arteries and heart as well as damage to your vital organs.

These metals can even cross the blood-brain barrier, where they can do the damage that leads to conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's disease and more.

Don't count on the U.S. government to protect you here. Very little of the food that enters the country is inspected, and we have even less oversight of the land on which it's grown.

So don't be tempted by cheap imported produce, whether it's from China or anywhere else. Shop local, organic and fresh. Yes, you will pay more. But can your really put a price on your health?

Pyramid Scheme VS. Legitimate Multi-Level Marketing

Here arewww.empoweringotherslifestyle.biz a few notes that I have located and find useful in determining if a business opportunity is a Pyramid Scheme or a Legitmate Multi-Level Marketing opportunity.
A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business that involves the exchange of money, usually in the form of a sign-up fee, and usually has no product or service. The only people that are able to make money on a pyramid scheme are the people at the top of the pyramid. There is no possible way for the people at the bottom of the pyramid to make any money. The only way to make money in a pyramid scheme is to sign-up new members for a fee. Usually they are told these schemes are the promise of sky-high returns in a short period of time for doing nothing other than handing over your money and getting others to do the same. You might hear phrases like "this is a ground floor opportunity which will change your life". You are reassured many times and they may go to great lengths to make the program look like a legitimate multi-level marketing program. When they keep telling you that it is legit that is a warning to do a lot more research and become educated regarding the difference in pyramid and legit.

A few things to look for in a Legit company is One wants to look at longevity of company, leadership, products, Compensation plan their presence in the international market ( if they are not global, avoid them), training available, mentorship, and this just a few things to look for..Do a lot of research, talk to the top leaders, even go to the corporate headquarters.

Start a Home Business?

Why Is It a Good Idea to Start a Home Business? http://empoweringotherslifestyle.biz

Having your own home internet business allows you to work when you want & how much you want from home without having to commute and other issues involved with a JOB. With today’s economic down turn  it is actually a good time to make your home business idea a reality - start up costs & risks are very low.

Having your own home internet business allows you to work when you want & how much you want from home without having to commute.
With today’s economic down turn  it is actually a good time to make your home business idea a reality - start up costs & risks are very low.

There are some questions you should ask yourself before you take action to start a home based business because to be successful you will make a commitment to do what is required of you.

3 Key Points to Consider Before Starting an Internet Business
  1. Can You Work at Home? You will need an appropriate space as well as a computer & an online connection - this also amounts to the start -up investment in your business.

If you are still employed you will be able to start part time and when income meets or is over your income from the Job and/or above you may consider leaving your job and your business can then be full time .

  1. Is your desire great enough? Do you have discipline & have you made that committment?

If you don't have the desire, discipline & commitment to make a difference for yourself, it's likely that you won't be very successful with your own online business. Do you have the staying power to work your business 3-5 years. That when faced with the challenges you don’t quit, that you have a powerful why?
Do you know how you want you life to be like? Have goals, dreams?

  1. Do You Have Unrealistic Expectations?

Many people seem to think that having an online business is a quick & easy way to generating massive online wealth but the opposite is true. Some think just by the virtue of having a business that by some magic it is successful without them putting out any effort.
It is entirely possible that you could make an online fortune, applying your self and a lot of work, creativity & drive - there is no magic bullet that will create instant wealth so if you aren't in it for the long haul perhaps you should consider whether this business model is for you.

Think about if you were going to open a restaurant, would you expect that the restaurant would be full of customers every  day from day one? NO, you have to build your business by good service, food, atmosphere so your customers recommend it to their friends, family, co workers, etc.Word of mouth is the best marketing tool we have. Like your  Home business it will take time.
