Thoughts for Today-Self talk.

I have been thinking about the fall season. Usually time is spend raking leaves and general cleaning up of plants that have gone dormant preparing for the winter months.
I applied the same concept to my mind giving thought to some of the things I have been saying to myself and I needed to do some cleaning out. It is very important how we talk to ourselves. So often it is easy to say negative things to ourselves. The subconscious mind is very receptive to what we tell it. It doesn't determine if something is true or not, it just accepts what we send it. With that in mind, to continue to have a good healthy strong self image we need to say positive to and about ourselves.
At times I find myself making a small mistake and say to me "Oh you are soo dumb" and then I realize what I said..I wouldn't acccept that remark from someone else why accept it from me? This is just a small example of how we sabatoge our self confidence and image.
Think about it..do you find yourself doing this??

I must admit that I too have, at times, intertained negative thoughts. As time goes by, it is easier to recognize that "voice" and quickly turn away from it. It's good to have friends like you Frances, who by your own example, lead others along the path of "thinking in a better way."
