“Can I?” or “ How Can I?”
Have you discovered the difference in these two questions?
Many times it is what and how we say things that makes a question more powerful
than another one.
“Can I?” When we give some thought to this question how does
it make you feel? Does it make you feel empowered and ready to take action? Do you feel and experience hesitation and doubt, that may not even try
because it probably won’t work. Also that I am asking someone permission to do whatever, if it is ok, should I do this??
How about if we change that to “How Can I”?
When I ask myself this question. This problem has an answer. I start thinking of all the
different ways that I can do this thing. That there are many different ways to
do somethings. One needs to just find some of these ways and do some of them and see what the results are.
If the results aren’t what was desired, I can use one of the other options. This
kind of action and thinking will
stimulate one to come up with more ideas, increases the thinking capacity and become more creative. Always moving
forward and expanding, growing in knowledge and experiences. Growing and becoming a better person is the
goal. If one doesn’t continue to grow we will regress. No growth leads to
regression, that we do not stay in one
place, stable in our growth. It is regress or grow, no in between.
Which question are you going to start asking yourself?
