Two Questions?

“Can I?” or “ How Can I?”

Have you discovered the difference in these two questions? Many times it is what and how we say things that makes a question more powerful than another one.

“Can I?” When we give some thought to this question how does it make you feel? Does it make you feel empowered and ready to take action? Do you feel and experience hesitation and doubt, that may not even try because it probably won’t work. Also that I am asking someone permission to do whatever, if it is ok, should I do this??

How about if we change that to “How Can I”?
When I ask myself this question. This problem has an answer.  I start thinking of all the different ways that I can do this thing. That there are many different ways to do somethings. One needs to just find some of these ways and  do some of them and see what the results are. If the results aren’t what was desired, I can use one of the other options. This kind of action and thinking  will stimulate one to come up with more ideas, increases the thinking capacity  and become more creative. Always moving forward and expanding, growing in knowledge and experiences.   Growing and becoming a better person is the goal. If one doesn’t continue to grow we will regress. No growth leads to regression,  that we do not stay in one place, stable in our growth. It is regress or grow, no in between.

Which question are you going to start asking yourself?

Ways to Take Advantage of the Power Within Us-Our Mind

I shared in the last post about the Power we all have within us and that being our Mind.

Today I want to share what I have learned in how I can tap into that power and make changes in my life.We all are living with limiting beliefs that are blocking our moving forward and making the changes in our life we desire.

The first thing is Awareness.

If we are not aware of the limiting beliefs we are living with everyday we will not make any effort to initiate any change. Becoming aware of some of your thoughts and limiting beliefs is one of the first steps. I have used mediation and visualization to uncover some of these beliefs. I have found that they were created  when I was a young child, 3-5 years old. I have been able to recall certain events and my perception of those events as that child. I recognized that my perception was not correct and when I was aware of that was able to eliminate that belief and replace it with one that was based on my adult perception. Taking this action helped me to be totally free of the limiting belief. Making this change also improved my self confidence helping me to see myself as a more valued person.

Affirmations used with emotions can also make changes in your power house - the sub-conscious mind.

In the previous posting I shared that the Sub-Conscious mind is more receptive at time of going to sleep and when first awakening. These are the times to use affirmations repeated several times. Make your affirmations with the end in mind. Stating how you desire thing to be, not how they are now. Use phases like: I am, I have and not using someday I will, etc. Make these statements in the present tense. Great time to also state or write your goals. I want to emphasis that emotions are very important, things said with emotion will give you quicker results.

Visualization.

Sit quietly for a few minutes and visualize the things you desire. Again in the present tense. It also helps to use a vision board, posting pictures of the things you desire, referring to it frequently during the day.

Self-talk.

What are you saying to yourself?? If you don't know just take a few days and be alert to some of the things you are saying to yourself. We are the only person in our mind and many times we say very demeaning, negative, hurtful things to ourselves. Things we would not let anyone else say to us. This will affect your self confidence and will really limit you. Practice saying nice things about yourself. You can even stand before a mirror and look yourself in the eye, telling yourself good things about yourself. Do this on a consistent basis and you will be surprised at the change in you.

Gratitude.

I like to list 10 things I am grateful for every morning. It is surprising how when you do this consistently how that list will grow. Even if you are in a tough place right now you can find things to be grateful for. There is a Universal Law that says " To receive more you must be grateful for what you already have."

Who are you spending your time with??

Another Universal Law is the Law of Association. The type of people you associate with is the kind of person you will become. Evaluate the people you spend your time with, are they uplifting, positive, encouraging, supportive persons or negative naysayers.

What are you reading, listening to or watching on TV??

Again all of this information is going into you sub-conscious mind. Do you really want this information to be the basis of making decisions for your life??

How you see yourself is reflected outwardly to others. This will affect your physical and mental health. You are in charge of your choices that will make changes in your sub-conscious mind that will change the results you are getting in whatever area you are wanting to change.SO Take Action!!

The Most Powerful Tool We All Have—Our Mind

Some points I want to share about our amazing powerful tool

Our mind is our most precious possession and it is FREE.

It is always with us and has the most amazing powers if we only learn how to use it.

You don’t have to acquire it-you already possess it.

We live in 2 worlds simultaneously. Our mind is our inner world which consists of our thoughts, emotions, fears, hopes, happiness, self-confidence and desires. The world within creates the world without.

Everything we find in our world has been created by us in our inner world - OUR MIND.

That one mind that has 2 distinct Characteristic functions -Conscious and subconscious

Conscious mind

Is 3-5 % of our mental life. When you think about that you realize that we are not using our full potential.

The conscious mind is responsible for Logic and Reasoning

The conscious mind also has the ability to analyze thought and external data received and form beliefs based on that data.

Through the conscious mind you reach your Subconscious Mind

The conscious mind is able to discriminate between right and wrong

the beliefs that I choose to hold about what is "true" or "untrue" will always align and harmonizes perfectly with what I am receiving and experiencing in life. That is what I have sent to my subconscious mind so that is what I will get.

What we habitually think about every day and expose ourselves to will eventually all sink in to our subconscious mind. The conscious mind determines what is true and untrue based on our previously established beliefs. A thing does not have to be true for you to believe it as true. It is merely the belief that something is true and the subconscious mind will go to work on creating this in your life.

It is the gatekeeper of your subconscious mind because every thought is received by the conscious mind. It is here the thought is subjected to the logic and reasoning power and by choice if the conscious mind is satisfied that the thought is true, it is sent to the subconscious mind.

if someone tries to present to you a belief that doesn’t match your belief system then the conscious mind will filter or block it. If we didn’t have this capability we would be overwhelm by all of the thoughts we receive – thousands of them per min. The conscious mind filters many of them to protect our sanity and the subconscious mind from false impressions and beliefs.

The conscious mind controls all of your voluntary muscles

Uses the 5 senses to accept or reject information

Plans things for You .

Shuts down when you sleep

Subconscious mind

95-97% of our mental life is subconscious where the action is.

This is our power house.

This is where our innermost fears, beliefs, and opinions are store and but We aren’t always aware of what is in our subconscious mind.

It is subjective and responsive to the conscious mind.

Does not determine what the conscious mind sends to it as right or wrong

Gathers information through emotional input

The statement gathers information through emotional input is very important when we are sending information to the subconscious mind. When we attach emotion to something we send to the subconscious mind it delivers faster.

As the subconscious receives information, it stores it, and goes to work to attract, create, or bring into the physical world, what you come to know as your truth or reality, based on your individually held beliefs and perceptions.

The subconscious mind makes no determinations, distinctions or judgments concerning the validity of the data or information it receives and stores. It is designed as the storage facility to store whatever data is given to it which can be accessed for later use and accepts as fact. It accepts as fact whatever the conscious mind sends to it. It says yes to everything

It can and will solve problems for us if we know how to direct it.

Whatever it has accepted as an idea from the conscious mind it begin to work on it.

So again be aware what thoughts you are sending it, are they good or bad?? What emotion have you given it.

Either way it will begin to execute it. It uses every bit of information it has accumulated in your life. It may take it hours, days weeks or longer to solve the problem.

It is In charge of and supports all of the vital functions of the body

Seat of our emotions

Is more receptive at time of sleep and when first awakening

Tap into this power by sending the subconscious mind the things you desire at bedtime and when first awakening. This is the times to send it you goals of what you want your life to be like, what you want to attain in the business and who you want to be. You will be amazed at the results. May take more than 1-2 times so do on a continuous basis. Also very important do this with emotion, the more emotion a thought has, the more it is able to move things. Weak thoughts have little emotion. Strong thoughts have lots of emotion.

It never sleeps or rests-works 24/7

So it performs at its highest function when the conscious mind is not functioning.

So again this is why it is important to give it your desires at time of going to sleep and first awakening.

Sees without the use of physical eyes

Perceives by intuition-insight – gut feeling

Has the power to communicate with others without the aid of ordinary physical means

Is the source of your ideas by collecting ideas from others by thought waves.

It receives intelligence and transmits to people at a distance

Stores all of our memories and our belief system

We also have limiting beliefs that are stored in our subconscious mind. Where do they come from?? When we are babies we are already perceiving things so so You have been acquiring beliefs about everything since you were born. Your parents, teachers, family ,friends etc have taught you their beliefs and you accepted them as a young child till about 6 years of age. . As you continue you are exposed to beliefs of your employer, co-workers, people you surround yourself with that you never question, you just accept them..

Beliefs are thoughts you have had over and over again until they become beliefs.

You just accept them.

Your whole life you are operating with these beliefs you acquired when you were a child without reevaluating them to see if they are serving you today or are they limiting you.

I will be sharing Ways to take advantage of this power on my next post.

How do You Discover Your Real Purpose in Life?

This is something that I have struggled with for some time. I would think I had the answer but just was not as passionate as I thought I should be if it really was my real purpose in life.

I have to thank Dr. Robert Anthony for helping me to know without a doubt what my purpose in life is.

At this time I would like to share with you how he helped me to make this discovery.

Dr. Robert Anthony recommended that you must first empty your mind of all the false purposes you have been taught, including the ideas that you may have no purpose at all.

There are many ways to do this and as he shares some are very involved. The process I used was very simply and worked for me very quickly.

This method was I consulted my conscious mind and declared my passions. He suggested that you say to your subconscious mind that you are ready to discover your purpose. Show me the answer.

Then I started writing down the things I felt passionate about. Things that when I talk to others about these things ,I get excited, heart rate increases, and I get focused about these subjects.

He said to keep repeating this until what you write and answer would make you cry. Guess what ? It happened!! I wrote down one thing and started to cry.

I tested it and every time I wrote this thought down, I started to cry again. I knew without a doubt that I had identified my passion and purpose in life. It was a very exciting experience for me and I hope that this sharing will help you as well if you are experiencing problems in this area..

4 Key Elements to Changing your Financial Blueprint

Elements to Change

The first element of change is awareness. You can't make changes if you are not aware of the thing needed to be changed. You have to know it exists.

The second element is understanding. When you understand where your way of thinking has originated from, you will know that it came from outside of you. We have been conditioned by 3 primary ways. Those being verbal programming (what we hear when we were young), modeling (what we see when we were young) and specific incidents ( what we experience when we were young)
Our Subconscious conditioning determines our thinking. Our thinking determines our decisions and our decisions determine our actions which eventually determine our outcomes.

The third element is disassociation. When we realize that the way we are thinking is not ours but what we have borrowed form above programming that came from our enviroment we can let it go if we chose to. We look at where we are today and where we want to be tomorrow. We can look at this information that we have recieved and stored in our subconscious mind that isn't our belief and is no longer true for us.

The fourth element is reconditioning. We can start learning how Millionaires think by surrounding yourself with these people, reading biographies of wealthy successful people, exposing yourself to their way of thinking vs the poor people.

I have learned this insight from the book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T. Have Eker.
